3rd Anton Bruckner Festival Berlin - Beginning of November 2024
The Anton Bruckner Festival Berlin will take place for the third time in 2024! To celebrate Bruckner's 200th birthday, we will significantly expand the program compared to previous years.
In addition to the traditional organ concert to open the festival, we will play Bruckner's 3rd Symphony (with the Janacek Philharmonic Ostrava) and his 5th Symphony (with the Junge Kammerphilharmonie Berlin). Last but not least we have a symposium on the "why" of the many different versions of Bruckner's Symphonies.
We are getting closer to the goal of the festival, which is to make Anton Bruckner's entire artistic work accessible to a wide audience through the program.

- Day 1: Sunday, November 3rd , 2024, 8pm - Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church: Opening concert for Organ with compositions by Anton Bruckner, works by contemporaries and improvistions on themes of Bruckner's 4th symphony. Soloist: Marco Heise
- Day 2: Tuesday, November 5th , 2024, 8pm - Apostel Paulus Church (Berlin-Schöneberg): Peace concert with the Janacek Philharmonic Ostrava and music by Barber, Mahler and Bruckner's 3rd Symphony. (In cooperation with the Society for Christian-Jewish Collaboration Berlin e.V., orchestra supported by the Ministry of Culture from the Czech Republic)
- Day 3: Wednesday, November 6th , 2024, 12am - Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church: Symposium on the "why" of the many different versions of Bruckner's Symphonies.
- Day 4: Thursday, November 7th , 2024, 8pm - Apostel-Paulus-Kirche Schöneberg: Final concert with the Junge Kammerphilharmonie Berlin and Bruckner's Symphony Nr. 5.
